With deep sadness, family and friends mourn the unexpected passing of Braden Weppler, who died on July 12, 2026, at the age of 19. Though his life was tragically brief, Braden leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness, compassion, and joy that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Affectionately known as “Brady” or “Brady Wepps,” Braden embraced life with enthusiasm and an adventurous spirit. He enjoyed mountain biking, fishing, running, and listening to his favorite music, always approaching each day with optimism and gratitude. His warm smile and uplifting personality made him a trusted friend and a source of encouragement to many.
A passionate hockey player, Braden proudly served as a goalie for the Hanover Falcons, later the Saugeen Steelheads. The friendships he built through the sport, especially while playing alongside his younger brother, Isaak, became some of the most meaningful relationships in his life. He was also a loyal fan of the Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Mariners. Braden’s creativity matched his athletic talent.
A gifted artist and student at the University of Victoria, he was pursuing a degree in Child and Youth Care with the dream of supporting and inspiring young people. His generosity was reflected in countless acts of kindness, often helping others without expecting recognition. Braden is lovingly remembered by his parents, brother, girlfriend Violet Bertram, extended family, and many friends. Although his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his compassion, creativity, and selfless spirit will continue to inspire everyone whose lives he touched. His memory will remain a lasting source of love, strength, and hope.
